Windsurfing is a very popular sport in Achill, all year round. There are various adventure centres, from which the residents main pastime is windsurfing. The sea in Keel Bay is particularly suited to surfing & windsurfing. It has some of the best waves in Europe coming in from the wild Atlantic Ocean.
