Being an island, Achill is ideal for all water sports. Each particular sport has it's own instructors and clubs and these organise various events and competitions throughout the year. The main areas of the island which are suited to watersports are Keel bay & Keel Lake, Keem Bay, Achill Sound, The Golden Strand at Dugort, Dooega and Dooagh Pier. The various organisations involved are intending to put together a programme of events which we hope to feature here.
