Masterson’s - "The Golden Strand Bar" and "Anchor Restaurant" is situated in the idyllic village of Dugort, overlooking the beautiful Golden Strand blue flag beach. We are a family owned business and have been in operation for five years. Masterson's is located one mile from the cottage of Heinrich Boil, the famous artist and ten minutes by car/coach  to the House of Prayer in Achill Sound. Also in clear view. is the majestic Slievemore mountain.

The Anchor Restaurant

Here at Masterson’s, we pride ourselves on the quality of food and wine and service that we offer the public. Customers can enjoy a relaxed meal in our top class restaurant followed by music and dancing in the bar. Our resident chef is highly qualified and experienced, receiving a higher diploma from Irelands top catering college in Dublin. We source all our food produces locally and use only the freshest of ingredients. Our house speciality is our famous seafood platter. Customers can judge for themselves just how impressive our food is after eating this! Sitting in our dining room you have a view of the long golden beach and the sun setting on The Slievemore mountain.

The Golden Strand Lounge Bar

At the Golden Strand Bar we are pleased to offer our customers an extensive bar food menu. You can delight your palate with a succulent sirloin steak while enjoying an expertly pulled pint of Guinness!. There is all sorts of choices available. Delight in our homemade brown scones and chowders or maybe try our local lamb or salmon.

Music is provided every night in the peak season so bring your dancing shoes. Finally why not take a moonlit stroll across the beach to bring a romantic evening to an end.
